The Ulster County Firematic Association was officially established on April 15, 1935, during a gathering of representatives from various fire service organizations across the county. This foundational meeting was held at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1386 “Dugout,” which was then located on East Chestnut Street in Kingston, New York.
The Association was formed with a clear and lasting mission:
To foster and perpetuate the welfare, growth, and firematic interests of the Fire Service in Ulster County.
Since its inception, the Association has served as a unifying body for fire departments throughout the region, promoting collaboration, advancing training and education, and supporting initiatives that enhance the safety and effectiveness of fire service professionals.
